My other post was too long to include this tidbit of info. After we got back from vacation, I dreamt for 3 nights in a row that we were having twins. HG just laughed and said "honey, you're just nervous and worried that we'll have twins. We're not having twins." Since we started dating he has always joked that twins run in his family so we shrugged it off as my worrying ways since we've always joked about it.
Then the Thursday before my doctor's appt. I was at Keeno and the girls were asking if I wanted a boy or a girl and my response was I want a girl first, HG wants a boy first, but most importantly, I just want one baby. They all looked at my like I was crazy and I had to explain my dreams...of course we all got a good laugh and joked that there would just be one heartbeat on the monitor in the morning!
This is the part where you're going to think I'm crazy. HG & I drove separately to the doctor's appointment since we were both working and on the way there I had an overwhelming sense that I really was having twins. If you could've been a fly on the wall you would've heard me have a conversation with God. It was basically me saying, "I know you only give us what we can handle, but are you sure?". "I'm not going to freak out and we'll make it work, but are you sure?"
So in all honesty, I wasn't 100% surprised when the doctor said we were having twins, but I was still 100% shocked! I was holding out hope that I was just crazy!! ;-)
However, I read something this weekend that made me feel much better! I found out on Friday we were having twins and by Saturday, Jessica had already bought me the "Everything Twins, Triplets, and more Book". I have read the book from cover to cover and was comforted by this little excerpt!
A Certain Something
In addition to physical symptoms, many mothers of multiples report an unexplainable hunch or vague suspicion early in pregnancy. Often it's triggered by unusual circumstances that bring multiples to the forefront of their attention. Perhaps they dream about having twins, or find themselves running across several sets of multiples in a public place. Or they may encounter mysterious phenomena that occur in sets of twos or threes. One expectant mother of twins discovered that the eggs she'd bought for holiday baking all contained double yolks; two days later an ultrasound revealed that she was having twins!
See, I'm not crazy!!!! ;-)

Ooooh, I got chills! Ticey, you are such a loving and caring person and you are going to be a fabulous mother. I know without a doubt that you can handle twins. My husband is a twin, so I think twins are extra special. :-)
Our girls are only 13 months apart and many people have told me it would have been easier to just have twins so I'm envious! I'm sure you'll set me straight when they arrive. :) You & HG will do great! I can't wait to meet them already.
I am a firm believer in mother's intuition, it will stay with you throughout motherhood, often very helpful in keeping kids out of trouble...my mom had a "feeling" when I was three, she went out to find me wandering down to the boatdock (this was at the lake) with no life jacket, thank GOD for mother's intuition!!!!!!
Of course you're not crazy!!! You are already showing 110% Mother's Intuition...this is such an exciting tim ein your life and I am happy to be a part of it from afar!
