On Cloud 9!!!!

We had our 2nd appointment with the perinatologist today and it looks like we're having a GIRL and a BOY!!!!! I am so excited. If you've read my earlier posts you know this is what I wanted from the beginning, but then we found out it was two girls and I grew to love the idea of two girls...matching outfits, cute hair bows, giggling sessions, etc.

I have been waiting for today so I could start making purchases for the nursery, but now I'm back to the drawing board. HG was in total shock. He really thought there was no chance of him having a son so as you can imagine he can't stop smiling!

The babies are doing great and both weigh 9 oz. Everything I've read about 17 weeks says they should weigh 5-5 1/2 oz. so I'm very happy about that. The doctor said their organs looked good and everything looked healthy and right on track. We got to see their faces (very skeletal looking), arms, feet, their spines, a penis, and 3 lines which supposedly means it's a girl! ;-)

So now we get to plan for life with Kennedy & Hudson. I'm so excited. Gotta start looking at nursery stuff that will work for both since they have to share a room! I know, already being a mean mom!!! ;-)

My next appt with my regular doctor is on Friday and with the perinatologist on Dec. 30th. I really like the appts with the perinatologist because I get to see the babies. His ultrasound is so cool. With a bump and confirmation of the sexes it's all starting to feel real!
