We're free!

House arrest ended on May 22nd and we've been loving our freedom! I will say that it takes some time to get prepared for any outing (big or small), but so far the kids have been great in public and I've been able to join the real world again...yea!!!

So far we've been to Lowe's (twice, how exciting...note the sarcasm), Babies R Us, Target, Genghis Grill, Cafe Express, the mall, Olive Garden, and the Pancake House. A few have just been me and the babies and the other trips have been with HG or a friend. Those trips are always so much better!! You can never have enough hands!

Kennedy & Hudson continue to amaze me each day. Today I noticed that they both have more hair and it looks like peach fuzz on the top of their heads. Kennedy's is slightly darker and Hudson's is pretty blonde. They are both smiling (real smiles), making cute faces (and not so cute faces), and for the first time I've really felt like each of them knows when "mom" is holding them. We've had some visitors lately and if they happen to be fussy when someone new is holding them they'll quiet down as soon as I hold them...selfishly, it was the best feeling!

They still eat every 3 hours and have had some decent nights where they give us a little longer stretch of sleep...4-5 hours. The 6 hour stretch was a definite fluke!

They've been playing more in their bouncy chairs and with their play gym. It's so cute to put them both on the floor and let them go at it. Hudson is such a good big brother and always tries to touch Kennedy by either putting a hand on her arm or leg. It's almost like he's just letting her know that he's there while Kennedy wants nothing to do with him...miss independent for sure!

I go back to work on June 15th and I've got to soak up every minute that I have left...even the ones where Hudson screams so loud and so hard that he turns beat red. Those typically come at feeding times when I can't feed him fast enough...such a stinker!
