7 months old!

I was looking back at pictures while working on a project for HG and realized just how much K & H have changed in the last 7 months. They started out so tiny and now are too heavy to carry sometimes! ;-)

They are both so active...sitting up, rolling all over the place, scooting, and trying so hard to crawl. They LOVE electronics so I use my cell phone as bait and try to get K to crawl to it. She gets so frustrated that she can't get there fast enough and certainly not by crawling, but she'll figure out a way to get it!

We started baby foods around 5 months as H has quite the appetite. For about a month, we stuck with Gerber, but since then I've been making their food. It's super easy and gives them a bigger variety. Since starting foods, they've had bananas, strawberries, peaches, pears, green beans, butternut squash, potatoes, broccoli, zucchini, sweet potatoes, sweet peas, carrots, and I think that's about it. They've had rice cereal, oatmeal, and most recently the mixed cereal. I think they like oatmeal the best. I know some of you probably freaked when you saw strawberries on the list, but my pediatrician said I could feed them anything except peanuts/peanut butter since that's really the most common allergy. I specifically asked about strawberries and citrus fruits and he was ok with it. They loved the strawberries and had no reaction so I'm going for it! I swear they eat better than I do!

They love to make noises and their noises crack me up. You'll see some of my favorites in the videos below. Today H has been making the "mmm" sound all day and like I posted on Facebook I LOVE it because sometimes it sounds like mom. Makes me smile everytime.

They LOVE when I sing and I'm the worst singer out there! I feel like I sing all day long. Anytime there's the slightest hint of fussiness that's not related to eating or sleeping, I bust out "if you're happy and you know it" and smiles break out. So funny!

The tv isn't on in the house much when they're awake, but they have two videos they can watch. First, they watch Your Baby Can Read 1-2 times a day (as recommended). Both are pretty glued to it the first time they see it, but K's attention waivers regardless of if we watch it back-to-back or at different times in the day. She's so nosy and must realize that she already knows what's happening...so BORING to her! Their obsession is the Little People. We have the Discovering Animals DVD and they love it. Honestly, I think if I let them watch it all day they'd still be mesmorized at the end of the day. We decided to order some different ones so we didn't get too sick of it, but some are better than others and they still love theirs the best. This is what we put on in the evening just before dinner as this is their crankiest time of day. Boy some days from 6-7pm are TOUGH!

H consistently sleeps thru the night and K has been for the past week, but for a few weeks before that she would need to wake up once during the night to eat. However, they are early birds and used to wake up at 7am, but have pushed it up to 6am. I so wish they'd go back to 7am...that hour makes a big difference in my world!

They love to play with each other and it's so cute to watch them interact. K is definitely more aggressive than Hudson which cracks me up. She wants to be in control and has no problem stealing toys from him...I can only imagine what we have in store for us!

So that's a little recap of what life is like here! Enjoy the videos!
