So did you automatically start singing Dolly Parton??!! I can't get it out of my head! Anyway, just a quick update on my working world! I left GattiTown in August to work part-time for She Lives Apparel. Unfortunately, it didn't work out like I had hoped and due to budget constraints they had to let me go in mid-September. I was bummed and a little stressed, but also there was a huge sigh of relief as it had been more difficult to work in the evenings (after the kids had gone to bed) than I thought it would be.
So I enjoyed a few weeks of just being with the kids, having the evenings with my hubby, and just relaxing. My freedom didn't last too long and I had to find a job! Thankfully, I found an awesome sales position with Sudden Impact Promotions! It couldn't have worked out better. I work from home 3 days a week. So I'm only working about 18-20 hours and it's just the right balance. The company specializes in promotional products and we do everything...t-shirts, hats, pens, decals, high-end gifts, etc. It's been fun to see what all is out there! There's some pretty cool stuff! Pretty much anything you can personalize (aka stamp your logo on) we can do! Since I'm in sales a lot is done over the phone/via email, but I also need to get out and network, visit with clients, etc. so I enjoy that not everyday is stuck behind a desk! Plus, the owners are awesome!!
I started the position about a month ago and was lucky enough to find amazing childcare for K & H. Tracy with Sweat Peas is WONDERFUL!!! I was having a hard time coming to terms with the fact that it was necessary for someone else to watch the kids, but after I found Tracy all my fears were laid to rest! She has an in-home daycare for infants only. As of now, it's just my kiddos and one other baby (he's 6 months old) so it's just perfect! K & H have had no problems with the transition!
