Happy Spring!

Our new flower beds. . .LOVE all the colors!

Can't wait for all the trees to bloom!

HG & our "old school" mower

These are such a pretty orange. . .LOVE them!
Spring has sprung at the Geyer household! We spent all afternoon working out in the yard (who knew I'd ever say that??!!). HG did some of the prep work earlier in the week. He removed the water fountain/pond and the water fountains in the flower beds as we didn't want anything extra to attract any pesky mosquitoes later this year!
HG is a smart man and wanted to go to Lowe's without me to pick out the flowers, but I thought that's the funnest part so I MUST GO! Of course, I did and of course I had to pick out the cute flowers, but not necessarily the easiest flowers to maintain. . .oh well, they look SO CUTE!! I love Gerber Daisies and couldn't resist their bright colors.
So we cleaned out the leaves, dead plants, ugly plants, etc. and planted our new flowers. The backyard looks great and I actually want to spend time out there (again, another who knew moment!). Our backyard is tiny, but the previous owners definitely had some great landscaping in place, but there was a lot going on so we just cleaned things up a bit and are anxious to find out what will be blooming in the months to come. Just this week we had some tulips pop up so this year will be full of surprises.
I have to admit that I honestly enjoyed working in the yard today and hope to have a green thumb soon!
