My First Charity Gala!

This is as close to "western" as we get!

Last Saturday, HG & I attended the Frisco Family Services Gala - "Deep in the Heart of Texas". You could dress in western attire (a.k.a. jeans for me) so it was my kind of gala!!! It was an evening of food, drinks (coupons required), silent auction (fun stuff!), live auction (WOW, they sure do talk fast!), live music from Emerald City (LOVE THEM!), and a car raffle.

Before the event, we stopped by Shay's house for a quick drink before heading to the party. Shay has a GORGEOUS home as she should (she's a designer for IBB Designs). Then we headed to the party to that was being held at the Embassy Suites. Jennifer and her boyfriend Aaron met us at the party so we had our own little group which definitely made the evening much more fun! We're still getting settled in Frisco so we don't know many local residents, but both Shay & Jennifer live in Frisco so it's nice to finally be able to say I have friends in Frisco! ;-)

The Gala was fun and the rest of this week has been very busy. Tomorrow is the big St. Patty's Day bash at Amanda's so look for crazy pics soon! It's become quite the annual tradition and I'm looking forward to it. The Hughes family arrives on Tuesday and will be staying for a week while Maddie & Bradley enjoy their Spring Break with us so we have lots of fun activities planned next week so I'm sure there will be lots of new posts/pictures in the coming days!
