Twice in one week??!!

It's March and typically in Texas that means that our few weeks of Spring is quickly approaching. We only get a few before we start complaining that it's too hot. Very rarely do we see snow, but apparently this March is a little different. On Monday night, we had a light dusting of snow and thanks to the 50 degree weather on Tuesday it was gone by mid-morning. However, yesterday we had a mini-blizzard! So for those of you that live in cold climates you would laugh at my depiction of the blizzard, but it was a blizzard for us!!! I spent the entire day delivering Spring Break coupons to 13 elementary schools in Frisco & Plano and by the end of the day I was soaked and tired of the snow! It started out as rain, then turned to freezing rain, and by late afternoon you could barely see in front of you due to the snow. Thankfully, the ground was still warm from our previous 50 degree days so the snow wasn't really sticking to the roads too much.

Once the neighborhood kids got home from school my block became a little rowdy with everyone outside building a snowman. I didn't get any pictures of snowmen because I stood in my doorway to take the pic below, but last night there was at least 6 snowmen on our block alone. The kids definitely enjoyed the snow. The best part was that today was another gorgeous sunny day so pretty much all of the snow is gone and maybe, just maybe Spring really is right around the corner!
