Benjamin Button!

Wow, I haven't blogged in weeks! I still have several things I want to post and will get to it this week while I'm on vacation, but first things first...I must save you a few dollars and your time!

I was so excited that the family decided to see The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. It was definitely on my to-do list and I was even willing to go alone sometime this week. Let's just say that the movie didn't live up to my expectations.

Yes, Brad Pitt is yummy, but only for a short while in the movie since he portrays various ages. The story line is interesting, but the movie moves SO SLOWLY that you can't get past the boredom or desire for the movie to get somewhere to actually enjoy the rather odd plot.

The movie started at 6:20 (yes, there's at least 15 minutes of previews), but it wasn't over until 9:15...that's 3 hours in a theater!!! YIKES, hasn't anyone learned that typically 3 hour movies are not what we love!

After sitting in the theater for what felt like hours, I sneaked a peek at my watch and it was only 7:15...I had barely been watching 45 minutes of the movie. At this point, I could only hope that it would get much better!! There was definitely a point in the movie that it picked up and became interesting, but that 20-30 minutes just wasn't enough to sustain the movie. We all left very disappointed and wishing we'd seen anything else. At least if another movie had been bad it probably only would've been 90 minutes instead of 3 hours!!

I definitely recommend waiting for the DVD version!

Our Family Christmas Movie was "Four Christmases". We laughed the entire movie. Although not as funny as most Vince Vaughn movies, it was still great. Charter even sat through it, laughing at parts...and he is 3.
Happy New Year!!! GO POKES!!

Really?!? A girl at work raved about it. Not that I really cared, I have no desire to see it right now. Thanks for saving me some money and time!

It is totally bad to say I am glad it kind of bites? I am waaaaay over Brad Pitt right now after the whole Aniston/Jolie thing and how somehow Jolie came out smelling like roses, but if Aniston says that it was "uncool' of Jolie to steal her man during that movie then Aniston is in the wrong? WTF.

Go 'Marley and Me"!

We went and saw it during the sneak preview and both actually liked it. We saw Marley and Me over Christmas and while it was good, if you have read the book, it takes a bit of the enjoyment away. You know everything that is going to happen and somethings happen differently so you are irritated.
