House Arrest!

So we're taking our pediatrician's recommendations seriously and these poor babies are confined to the house until they reach 2 months of age. I'm sure they could care less, but momma gets a little stir crazy!! Thankfully, I've been able to escape thanks to some help from friends and my sweet husband!

Last week, one of my dearest friends (who is more like a sister) spent the week with us. Kari was amazing and it was a wonderful week. Kari is the mom of two (Avery & Noah) and even the kids were excited that Kari was coming to spend a week with the babies. Avery who is 4 told her mom to take lots of pictures and when they would talk each night she made sure to let her mom know that she loved Kennedy & Hudson...how sweet is that??!!! I can't wait for the four of them to meet!

Kari's goal was for me to leave the house at least once each day. The goal started out pretty good, but got derailed on Monday when my allergies got the best of me. I felt so bad that I even went to the Urgent Care Clinic to make sure it wasn't anything contagious that I could pass on to the babies. Thankfully, it was just allergies and by Wednesday I was feeling much better even though the cough is still hanging around. On Thursday, I was able to sneak away to have my hair cut...the pampering was so nice and then on Friday it was my 6-week follow up appointment. I'm officially able to exercise again...woo-hoo (note the sarcasm!). I need to, but how on earth do I do that when I can barely find the time to shower???!!!

We've only got 3 week of house arrest left and I can't wait! Thankfully, we've had many wonderful visitors which I know is really just for the babies, but it's great for my sanity too!!! Starting tomorrow I'll be flying solo this week. I'm sure we'll be fine, but I'm already looking forward to Grandma Geyer's arrival next Saturday. She'll be here for a week and that will be wonderful! Also, next weekend is going to be pretty busy as the kids will get to meet their Aunt Heather, Aunt Ashley, Uncle Larry, and cousins Maddie & Bradley for the first time. It should be a fun Mother's Day weekend.

Alright, I'm done rambling...

Hang in there, Ticey! You are almost through it! They are growing up so fast!
PS - isn't it sad when you look forward to your 6 week appointment to get out of the house?

I know I've already said this, but DANG I can't believe how much they've changed. Ecspecially Kennedy in these pics. I'll stop by next week for a visit if you don't mind =)
